Pray

Prayer is an important part of our Christian life and it is a privilege to be able to pray for and with each other.

As well as our regular services, you are welcome to Christian Meditation (Parish Rooms, St Paul’s) and our monthly Prayer Meeting – see ‘What’s On’ for dates.

If you would like to learn to pray, please contact one of the clergy.

children and youth

Children & Youth

We want children and young people to feel St Paul’s is their spiritual home, to participate in an intergenerational community and to enjoy being curious about God.

For more information see our Children & Youth page.

Small Groups

Small Group Meeting Winchester

We encourage everyone to consider joining a small group to explore the Christian faith with others.

It’s a good way of getting to know the church community and feel you belong.

For more information about small groups, please contact the office (admin@stmatthewstpaul.org or 01962 844878) or one of the clergy.

pastoral care

Pastoral Care

Looking out for one another is important to us.

If you or someone you know needs someone to talk to, wants to learn more about our church or to receive Holy Communion at home, please contact one of the clergy (ministry@stmatthewstpaul.org or 01962 844878).

We also have a Bereavement Group who meet at St Paul's on the first Wednesday of each month, from 2.30pm to 4pm. This is a safe place where we can discuss our grief and learn ways to cope.

Music and Singing

Music is central to the life of St Paul’s.

You could join an informal Sunday evening singing group, or enjoy a concert by a visiting orchestra – for more information see ‘What’s On’ .

If you are an organist or enjoy playing any other instrument there are many opportunities to take part in our worship services.

Parish Visitors

Our trained Parish Visitors are available to anyone in need of a listening ear. Parish Visitors work in the name of the church, but they do not promote their own views and their ministry is available to people of all faiths and none.

If you would like to speak to a Parish Visitor (either for yourself or someone you care for), please get in touch by  emailing parishvisitors@stmatthewstpaul.org

Creation Care

There is no Plan B for God’s creation and so looking after our world is part of the Church’s Gospel witness.

We are committed to being Eco-Churches – St Paul’s achieved Silver A Rocha Ecochurch award and is working towards Gold.

Supper Club

Each Tuesday in school term time, we provide a free meal at St Paul’s for anyone who wants to join us.

No booking required – just come along at 5pm to ‘Have a Meal on Us’.

Beyond Ourselves

We are committed to serving those ‘beyond ourselves’ whether that’s people in need locally or in other parts of the globe.

The parish gives 10% of unrestricted regular giving to charity as well as raising money through collections at Christmas services and fund-raising ‘Coffee Pots’.
